There are a lot of stories featured in different blogs and websites of dogs being hailed as heroes. This just proves that dogs are not only man’s best friend, but they can also be our protector and savior. There are countless of stories that tell how dogs can be heroic.
However, there are also times when dogs do something strange just to get our attention. The story featured in this article is not about something heroic, but the thing done here by these dogs can be very helpful in the future.
Two dogs named Bomber and Remy absolutely love being in the spotlight. They will try and do anything to get other’s attention, even if takes calling the police. Yes! You read that right! Bomber and Remy did call 911!
One morning in Minnesota, a police department received a call. It was a bit strange as when the call was answered the dispatcher couldn’t hear anything but silence. Two police officers went and visited the address where the call was made, but the home was closed and locked. It was apparent that nobody was inside.
The police officers were baffled as, when they got at the location, the police department continued to receive the same strange 911 calls. Strangely, in some of them, the dispatcher could only hear dogs barking.
The two officers then decided to leave after inspecting around the area. However, the calls continued, so one of the officers went back to the house. The officer was able to find the owner’s mobile number and asked for the garage’s code.
When the officer set foot inside the house, she was welcomed by two dogs, one a Hound and the other a Papillon. Bomber and Remy were very much friendly toward the officer. She roamed around the house and found a cell phone, which must have been forgotten.
According to the officer, “It (the cell phone) was on ’emergency call only,’ so the dogs would have only had to hit the screen with their paw or their nose and that would have enabled them to call 911.”
